Here's a great video for you to watch, too - for inspiration. Roxie is a dog with a G tube who runs agility! You have to see it to believe it. :)

There is some great info about dogs with G tubes on the Yahoogroups list - it's a lot of email but if you join, the Files section of the site has some great info. I'll try to share some links here:

Hi Alicia, Oreo is a cutie! I've heard amazing success stories of dogs who do super well with the G tube, hope Oreo does great with it too! :)

Hi Alicia and Oreo, can't wait to see some pics. Welcome to the community and please let us know how his AP is clearing up! Jack had a nasty AP scare in May so we know how scary that can be. :(

What's your dog's name, breed and age?
Oreo, dalmatian/Bernese mountain mix, 5 years old
When was your dog diagnosed with ME?
July 2009
What meds is your dog currently taking for ME and related syndromes?
Currently in ICU for AP...was on 1/2 of a 75mg Zantac tablet 3x a day
How do you feed and water your dog?
Elevated so his head is level with his body...after the info I got here we'll be getting a Bailey chair :).
What one tip or piece of advice would you give to families of newly diagnosed ME dogs?
Research, research, research!
